Rob came to Englewood Presbyterian Church (EPC) in September of 2008 from Norwood First Presbyterian Church in Norwood, North Carolina. He and his wife Fran have four children, Rachel, Kaleigh, Lauren, and Jacob.
Rob graduated from the University of South Carolina Coastal, Conway, SC, with a BS in Biology in 1990. He continued his education by completing a Master of Divinity in 1996 and a Doctorate of Ministry in 2004 from Erskine Theological Seminary, Due West, SC . Rob is active in continuing to learn and grow and has attended many conferences including; The Billy Graham School of Evangelism, Family Life Today Marriage Conference, Catalyst Leadership Conferences, Presbyterian Global Fellowship Conferences, and Transitioning from Solo Pastor to Multi-Staff Pastor Conference.
Rob’s Vision for EPC is to lead the church in transition from an attractional model of ministry to an incarnational lifestyle of ministry. He wants the members of EPC to see themselves as the church wherever they are and that each member is sent into the community and world to minister and serve.
In addition to serving in the local church and community, Rob also finds time to enjoy outdoor activities like camping, kayaking, hunting, biking, and hiking with his family and friends. He is trying to hike the entire Appalachian Trail by sections and has so far completed the state of VA and sections in North Carolina and Tennessee.
